Sexual Harrassment in the Armed Forces

As part of the agreed action plan between the EOC and the MOD, we were asked to carry out the research that would help the Armed Forces understand (1) what the extent and nature of sexual harassment actually was and (2) what could be done to create an environment that prevents sexual harassment.

This involved a survey if all 18,000 Servicewomen and running 29 focus group discussions (19 with Servicewomen and 10 with Servicemen.) Click here for our report on this work

We worked with the MOD to communicate the findings from this research, carry-out some in-depth research with Servicemen and, on the basis of all this, put together plans which enabled each of the Services to rise to the challenge of creating a culture that prevents sexual harassment.
