Anjana Nathwani Invited to Contribute at International D & I Conference - May 2007
Anjana Nathwani has been invited to contribute at the international Diversity & Inclusion in Asia 2007 conference being held in Hong Kong in June (run by Community Business). The theme of the conference is Moving Beyond Rhetoric. Anjana has been leading on a research project looking at Talent Pool strategies through the lens of Diversity and Inclusion in Asia, with a particular focus on India and China. The research has been sponsored by 13 Global Organisations (including Global Diversity Network members).
Early findings indicate that integrating Diversity and Inclusion as part of talent pool recruitment and retention has clear benefits in reducing attrition and building loyalty. Harnessing local talent; addressing gender diversity; removing age barriers; and building cross-cultural/ international capability are important considerations for succession planning, leadership development programmes and recruitment strategies to sustain successful expansion in the region.
