Rt. Hon. Barbara Follett launches Schneider~Ross Report - Nov 2007
Rt. Hon. Barbara Follett (Parlimentary Under Secretary at the Government Equalities Office) launched our report "The Public Sector Equality Duties: Making An Impact" to a packed audience in central London on 8th November. She pointed out that these are very exciting times for those of us involved in the equalities agenda and thanked Schneider~Ross "for this important report".
Anjana Nathwani briefing the meeting on the research findings said "for public authorities to realise the impact of the Public Sector Equality Duties it is vital that there is continuity in the commitment given by senior leadership and also that goals and targets are in alignment with the core business of the organisation".
The report contains the outputs from 113 organisations' responses to our survey and details 8 case study examples. Robin Schneider commented "we aim, through our Not For Profit arm, to undertake research into how diversity relates to achieving improved business outcomes. That way we can share leading edge practice and we all learn from the excellent work that is going on".
