National Grid I&D Workshop for Non Executive Directors - Dec 2009
Schneider~Ross has been working with National Grid on the development and implementation of its I&D strategy for a number of years and on Monday 16th November we ran a workshop for the Non-Executive Directors of the company. We believe that this is perhaps the first occasion that a FTSE 100 Board have had the same training as their Executive colleagues.
This means that in carrying out their Non Executive functions on The Nominations Committee and The Risk & Responsibilities Committee they can ensure they are helping CEO Stephen Holliday and his Executive Committee meet their I&D aspirations.
Company Secretary Helen Mahy commented "at National Grid we are keen that all leaders throughout the company are given an awareness of I&D and therefore it was vital that our Board were included in the training. This also gave a clear message to the company that our most senior leaders were supportive of I&D.
