LAUNCH OF NEW SCHNEIDER~ROSS RESEARCH: 16TH OCTOBER 2014
“The rationale for equality and diversity: how vice-chancellors are leading change”
This research was launched on 16th October 2014 at the Summit Meeting of the Committee of University Chairs (CUC) in London.
The research examines the motivations and drivers that prompt senior leaders in Higher Education to become visible and active champions of equality and diversity. It sets out the outcomes and results for each University, in a series of themed case studies.
The research, led by Rachael Ross, Schneider~Ross was carried out over the spring and summer of 2014, and was commissioned by Equality Challenge Unit as part of a response to the lack of diversity amongst Higher Education sector leaders.
“Vice Chancellors who visibly lead on diversity are able to combine a clear sense of the “rationale” with personal conviction. They bring their values around inclusivity and fairness into daily leadership.
This is also the first piece of research that I am aware of which deliberately tracks the impact of top level diversity leadership into outcomes and results.”
